Does child sexuality exist?
We all look at children, as angelic beings, imbued with delicacy and purity, for this reason, it sometimes becomes difficult to deal with certain sexual rarity issues, which at some point, begin to be asked by children, phase in who begin to realize, that there are physical and behavioral differences between a man and a woman.
Child sexuality manifests itself through play, speech, interest and / or manipulation of Organs genitals… thus, curiosity is aroused and the first questions arise, especially in relation to Organs genitals:
“Daddy, why is my wee smaller than yours?”,
"Mommy (or Daddy), why do you have hair?"
"Mom, do you have peeps"?
These questions, often causing a certain discomfort and embarrassment on the part of the parents, due to the difficulty they feel in explaining and talking about sexual issues, especially with a child or simply believing they are will not understand. But how to address sexual issues with a child?
Parents, it is important that these doubts are clarified as they arise, always in a transparent and simple way, never forgetting, that they are in front of a child and that these curiosities are natural.
Talking or explaining something to a child, means informing, simplifying the content, so that the child can understand, and this is possible, for example, using child terms,
giving simple examples of everyday life, using dolls and dolls, books with attractive images appropriate to the age, so explain without causing other doubts
in the little heads.
Taking advantage of this dialogue, it is also possible to teach the child that other people should not take off their clothes, touch their bodies or private parts.
It is necessary that the child always feels at ease and realizes that if any of these situations happen, they should not be ashamed, they should immediately inform their parents.
It is therefore essential that the child learns to respect his own body and understand the difference between affection, affection or any type of sexual abuse.
